Reflecting on 2025: A year of progress and innovation at Sierra Legal

- Supporting our clients: We’ve had the privilege of working with incredible businesses across a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters. This year, our clients included Clark Rubber, Clearpro, CreativeCubes.Co, Energy Power Systems Australia, Essendon Football Club, Hitech Electrical, Magentus, Medibank, Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Early Years Education, National Lotteries and Newsagents Association, ReadCloud, the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne, Simoco Wireless Solutions, TMX Transform, The Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria and Tasmania, and many more.
- M&A highlights: We were proud to play a key role in several successful M&A transactions, including acting for the seller in the sale of a logistics business serving the pharmaceutical industry, acting for the seller in the sale of a water treatment system design, construction and service business serving all aspects of the construction industry, acting for the minority shareholder in a freight forwarding group sell its shares to the majority shareholder’s holding company in exchange for cash and scrip in the holding company, acting for a waste management business in the sale of one of its waste collection and disposal sites, and assisting the founder of a business which services the telecommunications industry sell his shares in the operating company to employees of the company as part of a management buy-out.
- Sharing knowledge: From presentations to panels, we’ve contributed to conversations on key topics such as selling your business, privacy and data security for SMBs, and M&A strategies. We also shared our insights as guests on The Bottom Line and MPL Legal Tech Advisors podcasts, adding our voice to the industry dialogue.
- Celebrating 15 years: This year marked Sierra Legal’s 15-year anniversary - a proud milestone reflecting our journey from humble beginnings to becoming a trusted partner for businesses across Australia.
- Welcoming new talent: We were thrilled to expand the Sierra Legal family, welcoming Special Counsel Kate Landells, who joined us in February.
- Expanding our Sierra Monthly Plans: More businesses joined our fixed-fee plans, benefiting from consistent, cost-effective support for their everyday legal needs.
- Launching the Sierra Series: This year we introduced the Sierra Series - a new initiative to share practical, actionable insights on the legal issues businesses face every day. Our first edition took a deep dive into unfair contract terms, giving businesses clear guidance to stay compliant.
