Legal costs should never be a reason to avoid getting the advice your business needs. Sierra Legal's monthly legal plans give businesses of all sizes ongoing access to experienced commercial lawyers for a known, transparent monthly investment.
Running a business means legal questions arise constantly — contracts to review, employment issues to navigate, regulatory changes to understand. Most businesses either avoid legal advice because of cost uncertainty, or only engage a lawyer when a problem has already escalated. Sierra Legal's monthly plans change that. For a fixed monthly fee, your business has access to our team whenever you need us — for day-to-day commercial legal work, contract reviews, compliance questions and more.
Getting started is straightforward: 1. Tell us about your business — we discuss the nature and volume of legal work your business typically needs. 2. We agree on scope — together we define what is covered under your monthly plan, including day-to-day commercial legal work and any specialist areas. 3. We agree on a monthly fee — our existing clients pay monthly fees ranging from $2,000 to $20,000 depending on the scope and size of their business. 4. You get access to our team — from that point, you have on-call access to Sierra Legal’s lawyers, with the consistency and certainty of a known monthly cost. 5. Fair use applies — in months where an unusually large volume of work is required, we have a straightforward conversation about what is fair. You can exit the arrangement at any time with one month’s notice.
Monthly plans can cover a broad range of commercial legal matters including: — Day-to-day contract reviews and commercial advice — Drafting and negotiating supplier, customer and partner agreements — Employment and HR legal support — Privacy and data security compliance advice — Corporate governance matters — Technology and IT contract advice — Shareholder and board matters — Coordination of specialist legal work in areas outside commercial law
Monthly plans suit businesses that: — Generate a regular volume of contracts and commercial legal questions — Want legal support without the uncertainty of hourly billing — Are growing and need a legal partner who understands their business — Have previously avoided legal advice due to cost concerns — Want a lawyer who functions as part of their team, not just an external adviser We work with businesses of all sizes across Melbourne, Brisbane and Newcastle — from early-stage companies to established mid-market businesses.
Monthly fees range from $2,000 to $20,000 per month depending on the scope and volume of legal work required. We tailor each plan to the specific needs of your business and agree the fee upfront so there are no surprises.
Monthly plans typically cover day-to-day commercial legal work including contract reviews, commercial advice, employment matters, privacy compliance and corporate governance. We agree the specific scope with each client before the plan starts.
Yes. You can exit at any time by giving one month’s notice. There are no lock-in periods or termination fees.
In many ways yes. A monthly plan gives you consistent access to an experienced legal team who understands your business — without the overhead of a full-time employee. Many of our monthly plan clients use Sierra Legal as a true legal partner rather than a transactional adviser.
Day-to-day M&A advisory can be included in scope. For major transactions, we typically agree a separate fee arrangement given the intensity of work involved — but monthly plan clients benefit from our familiarity with their business when a transaction arises.
